How to use this calculator
Enter your gross annual salary, the number of days you actually work each year (the default 260 = 52 weeks × 5 weekdays), and your hours per workday. Every figure updates instantly.
How it works
Daily pay = annual salary ÷ workdays per year; hourly pay = daily pay ÷ hours per workday; weekly pay = salary ÷ 52; monthly pay = salary ÷ 12. For example, $52,000 ÷ 260 days = $200 per day, and $200 ÷ 8 hours = $25 per hour. These are gross figures before taxes and deductions.
Frequently asked questions
How many workdays are in a year?
A standard full-time year has 260 weekdays (52 × 5). Subtract vacation days and holidays for your true working days.
Does this include taxes?
No — it converts gross salary. Your take-home per day will be lower after taxes and deductions.
How do I factor in unpaid time off?
Reduce the workdays-per-year input by your unpaid days off so the daily rate reflects days you actually work.
What is the per-hour rate based on?
Daily pay divided by the hours-per-workday you enter (default 8).
