How it works
Your course grade is a weighted average: course grade = current grade × (1 − w) + final score × w, where w is the final's weight as a decimal (25% → 0.25). Solving for the final score you need gives:
required final score = (target grade − current grade × (1 − w)) ÷ w
If the answer is above 100%, even a perfect final can't get you there, so the calculator instead shows the highest grade you can reach with a 100% on the final. If the answer is below 0%, your target is already locked in — even a zero on the final keeps you at or above it. Letter grades use the standard scale: A ≥ 90, B ≥ 80, C ≥ 70, D ≥ 60, F below 60, though your school's scale may differ.

How do I calculate what I need on my final?

What if I need more than 100% on the final?

Can I still pass if I skip the final?
