How it works
Decimal → H:MM: take the whole number as the hours, then multiply the leftover decimal by 60 and round to the nearest minute. If rounding gives 60 minutes, the tool carries over into the next hour (for example 2.999 becomes 3:00, not 2:60).
H:MM → decimal: add the hours to the minutes divided by 60, rounded to two decimals (7:45 → 7 + 45 ÷ 60 = 7.75).

How do you convert decimal hours to hours and minutes?
Take the decimal part and multiply it by 60 to get the minutes. For example, 7.5 hours: 0.5 × 60 = 30 minutes, so 7.5 hours = 7 hours 30 minutes (7:30). Similarly, 8.75 hours = 8 hours 45 minutes (8:45).
How do you convert hours and minutes to decimal hours?
